Cancer

A problem I have had starting this blog is that I was diagnosed with cancer and have been undergoing treatment culminating in radiotherapy that will end next week. For some reason I imagined a blog discussing my thoughts and views on the life the universe and everything - but not mentioning the Elephant in the room - well I can't!!!

It is there everyday - I have cancer and it's poohy!!

I have written this little ditty to get me through the next few weeks. [Radiotherapy peaks about a fortnight after treatment stops - fun fun fun.]

My cancer

I hate my bloomin cancer
I hate it with all my might

I hate it 'cos it resists me
without a proper fight

It's in there consuming my energy
without a real right

But most of all I hate it
'cos it's a little shite!
